How to Make a Man Run

I don't work with too many men. It's mostly women closer to my parents age. But there are a few men sprinkled here and there.

So one of these poor souls stopped by my cubicle today. I left early yesterday to meet Michael for lunch and then be at home hanging out with him the rest of the day. He was asking where I was, so I told him Michael was home for about a week. (He knows the whole story of the campaign work.) He made the mistake of asking why. So... I told him! I didn't go into detail or anything - I just said we were doing an IVF cycle, so he needed to come home for that. He couldn't get out of here fast enough.

Sometimes I forget that not everyone is as comfortable with me being so open about all this. I'm going to bet he doesn't stop by for a visit anytime soon. Hope I didn't traumatize him too badly...

Edited to add: He stopped by later in the day with a work related question - and even sat down! Looks like he's not scarred for life or anything. ;-)

I think he probably bolted more because he had NO clue how to respond than because of any real fear. KWIM? I'm glad he got over it quickly though!
