I got absolutely PERFECT weather for my birthday. What an awesome gift! Michael was down for the count with a cold, so Uno and I set out on our own for a long hike in the woods to take full advantage of the day. It was awesome! Of course, Uno had to sniff every leaf on the ground, so it was slow going. At one point, we sat on a stump and just watched clouds go by and felt the sun beat down on us. (That is, until a big black standard poodle named Shaq (hilarious) came by and Uno had to prove how tough she was.) Good times.
Saturday night, we had the family party - which was fun as always - with homemade pizza and carrot cake. YUM! It was good to hang out with the fam. So, all in all - a very good weekend.
I would have liked for it to stay the weekend. Today I woke up to cramps. Of course, it is Day 24 - my usual day to get my period. I'm exhausted, bloated, and my lower back hurts. Of course, with the progesterone, it will remain this way until Friday when I get my test results. Sure feels like delaying the inevitable... But, even if it is, at least we have another chance. That is keeping me hopeful!

About This Blog - I began this blog to have one place to inform friends and family about our fertility treatments. Eventually, I expanded it to others I met on-line who were struggling too. Now, there are links here from other blogs, so there are people I don't necessarily know reading this. I welcome anyone and everyone who's interested.
About Us - We've been trying to have a baby since May 2005 and are considered to have "unexplained infertility". The only test that has ever come back abnormal on either of us diagnosed me with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis - which all the doctors say is not impacting my fertility. We have been through 4 unsuccessful Clomid cycles, 3 unsuccessful IUIs with injectables, three unsuccessful IVF attempts and one IVF cycle converted to an IUI, also unsuccessful. We have reached the end of the road.
This is my space to share our struggles with you and to try to keep my perspective on the whole thing. Thanks for reading.

The cramps stink, but I am so happy you had a good birthday and that you have another chance!
I just turned 36 too, it didn't feel like it...I am not counting anymore and it sounds you too are getting younger :)
cramps stink but still I want to hold some hope until Fri...I know it's a glimmer of hope but still...I had a full blown period for this pregnancy on day 26...turns out it was implantation...but all the symptoms were the usual for a normal period
